7 Things You Need To Know

1. There is life after death!

“It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement.” (Hebrews 9:27).

“All that are in graves shall hear His voice, and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.”(John 5:28,29)

“There is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)

Do you know these 7 things to be true?

It is God’s desire that you know His plan of Salvation. Even more than that, it is of vital importance that you know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior!

“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his soul?” (Mark 8:36)

“Behold, now is the accepted time; Behold, now is the day of salvation.” (2 Corinthians 6:2)

“God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

“There is joy in the presence of the angels of God Over one sinner that repenteth.” (Luke 15:10

Are you ready?

You Must meet God. Are you ready?savingpng-1
In comparison with this question, all others are utterly insignificant. You may be successful in business, have a wonderful family, and be healthy in both body and mind. You may even be religious and respected by all. But can you say with certainty that you are ready to meet God? To be ready to meet God requires a New Birth, Jesus said, “Except a man be Born Again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3). This statement has no exceptions. It cannot be ignored, as it was given by the Lord Jesus Christ. Have you been Born Again? The need for new birth arises from the fact that we are all sinners by birth and by practice. Sin is contrary to the nature of God. He hates sin, and it keeps us from having fellowship with Him. The Bible declares that God is “of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity ” (Habakkuk 1:13). But while God hates sin, He loves sinners. In fact, He loves us whether we walk the clean or filthy side of the road to Hell. Because He loves us, He has provided the Way for us to be restored to fellowship with Him. “God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). God’s judgement for sin fell upon Christ on the Cross, and there is cleansing and forgiveness for all who believe in Him. “As many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His Name” (John 1:12). Through new birth, by receiving Christ, by believing He died for my sins, I am born into the family of God and can answer the question “Are you ready?” with a glad and confident “Yes!” Have you known this change? Have you experienced this New Birth? Have you turned to God in repentance, admitting that you are a sinner in need of a salvation? Have you given up the false idea that you can earn God’s favor through your own “good” works? Have you by faith accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? Do not resent these personal questions, for they are intended to lead you to blessing. If I were to tell you of a path to wealth and fame you would probably be very interested. What Jesus Christ offers you– forgiveness of sins and eternal life with Him in Heaven— is of infinite value. Put the matter to the test. DO IT NOW. The terms are simple: “This is His commandment, that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ” (1 John 3:23). Will you receive Him, the living Christ of God who died, rose again, and now offers salvation to all who believe on Him? Will you trust Him now as your very own Savior? It is not the inception of a creed, or identification with a Church, or becoming a religious person that saves. It is the acceptance of a Person, the Son of God. Your acceptance or rejection of Him answers the solemn question, “Are you ready? “It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement” (Hebrews 9:27). When you stand before God, will you be stained with your sin or will you have been washed clean through faith in Jesus Christ? The issue is very clear: your response to Jesus Christ now will determine your destiny for eternity. “Neither is ther salvation in any other: for there is none other name, whereby we must be saved….. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved” (Acts 4:12; 16:31)

Be Still… God is your refuge and strength!!

“Be still and know that I am God: (Psalm 46:10)

As we take a look at today’s passage, I want us to focus on what it commands us to do(and not on the tragic events in our lives) It clearly tell us to Be Still, yet what truly makes the Command so amazing is that this is God speaking to you Himself. In the verses prior to God’s Command (vs. 1-9), The psalmist is speaking in regards to what he is going through or what calamities he has faced(unexpectedly), and through this, and because of this, he has known God to be his Refuge and Strength… imagine things from his point of view.. growing up in Jerusalem, a city that is built on hills. Seeing these enormous Mountains all his life, not knowing how many days and nights he may have found safety and security in these mountains from the fear of not knowing what each day may bring, these mountains were a constant figure in his life, he knew their strength, he knew of the numerous times they provided solitude and safety. He never expected them to be moved.. Yet that’s just what happens in verse 2. He witnessed the whole earth moved, he saw the mountains ( his safe place), carried into the sea. The most tragic thing he could have ever witnessed, possibly the one thing he feared above all. [I wonder if he ever thought, “I don’t know what I’ll do without you”] Now that moment was upon him… you see we all have things or people in our lives that we expect to always be there, we don’t expect them to ever be out of our life. Maybe your mountain is a loved one, particularly a mother or father. They’ve always been there for you, but now they’re gone, removed by Death. A tragedy that has turned your world upside down, how do you respond? What do you do when they’re gone and you never expected it, sure we know that Death will visit us all. Does that make it any easier? What about that spouse, the two of you were so inseparable, Death still happens, or even Divorce (it has often been compared to death; because God never intended for either). You see, this passage is from the psalmist own experience and perspective. Yet God in His infinite wisdom, and love knew you would face extreme hardships and tragedies, and to be frank, sometimes we just don’t want to hear what someone else has to say, “you couldn’t possibly know how I feel, our situations aren’t the same, I just want to be alone, or “I DON’T THINK I CAN GO ON WITHOUT HIM/HER!” But God has a Word for you today!! It was so important that He literally interrupted the psalmist, although the psalmist was testifying of Just how good God is. God wanted to tell you directly to “Be Still and Know, that I AM God.” Not Be Still and worry, not Be Still and declare that your situation is hopeless. No! Be Still and Know that “I AM”, I AM He that can heal your broken heart, I AM the healer of all your diseases, I AM Alpha and Omega, I AM the creator of heaven and earth. You need to get it in your spirit today, that I AM the same yesterday, today, and forever. And just like I brought comfort to the psalmist then, I’ll comfort you now. Cast all your cares on Me, I care for you. Your outlook should have changed right there. Hallelujah!! Glory to His Name.

Teach Us To Pray:

Matthew 6:7-13

  • In Matthew 6:7, Jesus cautioned against meaningless repetition to the Father. Just two verses later, He left a pattern to help us pray. However, in using this passage, which is known as the Lord’s Prayer, we’re often guilty of the very thing Jesus warned against: Instead of thoughtfully praying each line, we run through the words mindlessly. But if we take time to carefully examine Christ’s words, we’ll find the pattern that can transform our prayer life.
    • Adoration Of The Father (Matt. 6:9). God the Father is the focus of all our prayers. We should never forget what a privilege it is to bend our knees on earth and reach Almighty God in heaven.
Submission To His Will (Matt. 6:10). Prayer should reflect a desire to align ourselves with God’s goals and purposes, not to get Him to follow our plans.
Petition God For Our Needs (Matt. 6:11). We are dependent upon the Lord, and He wants us to come to Him with our request.
Confession of Sins (Matt.6:12). When we repent and forgive others , we maintain fellowship with God. But if we hold grudges, that fellowship is broken. God loves to answer our prayers when the lines of communication are not disrupted.
Deliverance From Evil (Matt.6:13). Our enemy is too strong for us, but Christ has already won the victory over him.

Jesus ended the prayer where He began–with praise to the Father for His kingdom, power, and glory (Matt. 6:13). Next time you say this prayer, concentrate on each verse. Then, following this pattern will result in a more dynamic and effective prayer life because it will be God-centered.

    The Cross:

“And He said to them all, if any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.” -Luke 9:23

If I was to ask a majority of Christians today, “what does the Cross mean?” Each would probably speak of how Jesus died on the Cross to save them from their sins, and some may even sound real “Churchy” and say by His wounds I am healed. Yet if we pay attention to the above passage of scripture Jesus tells us exactly what it means. For the true Born Again believer, it’s the One Thing that allows us to follow Him. Yes, it’s true, Jesus did die on a Cross for our sins, and to redeem the world from sin. The Cross is much more personal than Jesus dying on it, Hallelujah! that He did. Jesus dying on a Cross was Him dying for you, but when Jesus tells you to take up your Cross, it’s you dying to you. Just like there was no other way for us to be reconciled to God but by Jesus’ voluntary death, there is no other way for us as well : Luke 9:23 …if any man (choice) let him deny himself (die to self). Each believer has to enter in by way of his own Cross..there is no other Way……THE CROSS IS PERSONAL! No self glory in this walk, our life is to be hid in Him. His Way becomes our way, His life becomes our life. No more me and my selfish desires, only what we do for Christ will last. When you said yes to Christ, did you take up your Cross?

So Many Fish in The Sea: But Where Are The Fishermen?

My question today is, “where are all those men/women, called of God to go out and make disciples? “Called to go ye Therefore”, The Church of Jesus Christ today resembles nothing of what we saw during His earthly reign. I can recall through scripture how Jesus got into the boat with the disciples, instructing them on where to launch the net. And to the disciples surprise they caught a record number of fish. Be mindful that these were skilled, lifelong fishermen, many of whom were Born into their profession. Yet something was missing in their approach, surely they may have even been successful in their profession, doing things their way, or even patterning themselves after other fishermen.(Copying other Preachers and their Ministries) Jesus got into Their boat (the means they were using to reach the fish), and begin to question them as to their efforts. Have you caught any fish? Have you led anyone to Christ? To which they replied, we’ve toiled all night ( it was work to them, When Jesus got into their boat He was signifying that this would be your life), and we have no fish to show for it. We’ve been in this Church for 25 years, and yet no one is being saved and delivered, no one is being filled with the Holy Ghost. My Daddy was the Pastor of this Church for over 40 years, yet drugs are still rampant in this community. Now rather than following the approach of Jesus and just launching out into the deep, and cast out nets on the right side ( His side), not your daddy’s side, or your denominational side. But the side Jesus commands in His Word. Instead we get more elaborate means, BIGGER BOATES AND BIGGER BATE!!! Jesus walked on water, and even commanded Peter to do likewise, so He could care less about the size of your boat ( Ministry). T.V., Radio, YouTube, Facebook. Jets. All of these are bigger boats. The Holy Ghost is saying today, we are to be Fishers of Men’s Souls… We are to catch the fish, and clean the fish through discipleship. Yet men have turned it into a Fishing Show, where men fish from fancy boats, with expensive rod and reels. Seeking to catch the biggest fish, only to weigh it, get the results, and be rewarded, and recognized by men for catching the Biggest fish.(having the biggest Church with the most members). Oh yea, they throw the fish back in the water if it’s not the proper size ( social status ie. Bigger Tithes), overlooking the least and the lost, the drug addict, the prisoner, and the homeless just to name a few only for it to be devoured by Sharks. Me

Name Above All Names: (Philippians 2:9)

“Cancer, Diabetes, HIV, Tuberculosis, ADHD, Depression, PTSD, Fear, Worry, Doubt, Worry, Anxiety, Rebellion, Disease, Disaster, Despair, Prison, Alzheimer’s, Epilepsy, Fear, Rejection, Oppression, Loneliness, Suicide, Doubt, Divorce, Defeat, Confusion, High Blood Pressure, Low Blood Pressure, Paralytic, Glaucoma, Kidney Disease, Heart Failure.”

Whatever your problem, whatever your sickness is, Jesus is Bigger than that. His Name is above all names, no matter what it is, it can not stand in the presence of God. Today is your day to be delivered, In Jesus Name. Call it out, declare your Victory in The Name of Jesus. Those fears and failures of 2018 will be defeated in 2019, Hallelujah!! Declaration is your key to your Deliverance. Please don’t take this Word lightly!!!
